The teachings received by Ra Uru Hu also included information on the Precessional Cycle, or the ‘Great Year’, also known as Precession of the Equinoxes:–
This astronomical phenomenon is due to a gyroscopic wobble of earth’s spin axis that takes 26000 years to complete.
In this wobble motion, the tilt of the earth stays roughly constant at 23.4 degrees but the orientation against the backdrop of the stars is always changing, leading to a shift in the north polar star as well as a constant retrograde shift in the position of the sun at the spring equinox.
When we map this precession onto the 64 Gate cycle of the Rave I Ching, we see that it moves backwards through each of the 64 gates in roughly 400 years.
The total cycle is 400 x 64 or 25600 years, very close the the 26000 year cycle predicted by astronomy.
Frequency Shift and the Incarnation Crosses
During each 400 year period, the background frequency for the Earth and the consciousness of humanity is determined by the Incarnation Cross associated with the Gate occupied by the Precession Point.
For the past 400 years, the Precessional point has been in Gate 37, so the background frequency has been determined by the Cross of Planning. Ra told me that Humanity has been going through a transition during this time, to prepare us for the Quantum leap into the next Age:–
The next change occurs in 2027, when the precessional point moves from gate 37 to gate 55 and the Cross of the Sleeping Phoenix.
The Yugas
Hindus believe the process of creation moves in cycles and that each cycle has four great yugas, or epochs, of time. And because the process of creation is cyclical and never-ending, it “begins to end and ends to begin.”
Sri Yukteswar, a modern exponent of the yugas, explains that mankind goes through clearly discernable ages, or yugas. Each yuga changes the consciousness of mankind. As mankind’s consciousness changes, so do civilization and human development.
End of the Ascending Kali Yuga
In his detailed analysis of the Yuga Cycle, author Bibhu Dev Misra concludes:–
“The timeline also indicates that the ascending Kali Yuga, which is the current epoch in which we are living, will end in 2025 CE.”

Although there are many interpretations of the Yoga cycle, Misra concludes that the complete Yuga Cycle comprises 4 Ascending and 4 Descending Yugas of equal time duration, with a 300 year transition period:–
However, from the perspective of the information provided in the Rave I Ching, it would be more logical in terms of perfect geometry to describe a Yuga Cycle as 8 Yugas, with the Equinox point precessing through 8 gates during each Yuga, with the last and first Gates of each Yuga representing 400 year transitional phases.
This would place the beginning of the current Ascending Kali Yuga at 400 x 8 years before 2027AD => 1173 BC
According to Bibhu Dev Misra:–
“The Yuga Cycle timeline indicates that the 300 year intervening period between the descending and ascending Kali Yuga extended from 976 BC – 676 BC; and very interestingly, this overlaps with the 300 year period from 1100 BC to 800 BC which is referred to by historians as the Greek Dark Ages!
The archaeological evidence shows that tremendous destruction visited the Greek isles at this time.
The great Mycenaean cities and palaces collapsed. Villages and towns were burnt, destroyed and abandoned. The population of the cities reduced drastically, there was widespread famine and people lived in isolated, small settlements.
Such was the magnitude of the cataclysms that ancient Greeks entirely forgot the art of writing which they had to re-learn from the Phoenicians in the 8th century! The ancient trade networks were disrupted and came to a grinding halt.”

This is also the time described in ‘The Book of Judges‘ which chronicles the time between the chaotic period after the death of Joshua up to the appointment of Israel’s first king, Saul, ie between 1254 – 1104 BC.
The fall of the Roman Empire
The Midway point of this 8×400 year Ascending Yuga falls on 427AD., Close to the 410AD date given for the fall of Rome. This is when the Precession point moved from Gate 25 to Gate 36.
In his remarkable book:– Catastrophe: An Investigation into the Origins of Modern Civilization, historian David Keys uncovers evidence from around the world that the European Dark Ages was triggered by a cataclysmic event, the eruption of Krakatoa, that occurred around 535 A.D.:–
” It was a catastrophe without precedent in recorded history: for months on end, starting in A.D. 535, a strange, dusky haze robbed much of the earth of normal sunlight. Crops failed in Asia and the Middle East as global weather patterns radically altered. Bubonic plague, exploding out of Africa, wiped out entire populations in Europe. Flood and drought brought ancient cultures to the brink of collapse. In a matter of decades, the old order died and a new world—essentially the modern world as we know it today—began to emerge.”
