Bacopa monnieri and Bacoside-A for ameliorating epilepsy associated behavioral deficits
Clinical trials using fresh whole plant extract of Bacopa has been found to improve various aspects of cognitive function in children and adults. Sharma et al [48] found that learning, memory, perception and reaction times improved in 20 primary school children given Bacopa in syrup form at a dosage of 350 mg three times daily for three months. No side effects were reported. Negi et al [49] reported children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) were found to benefit from Bacopa administration. They have conducted a randomized and double-blind placebo-controlled trial of 36 children with #ADHD. This study showed logical memory improvement.
